Jurga

Jurga, learn more about the artist

Jurga, born in 1977 in Utena, Lithuania, now lives in a small village near Vilnius. She has been sculpting since the age of 8. After studying Fine Arts in Vilnius, she opened her own studio and has since exhibited in numerous galleries, exhibitions, and international fairs. Her work is notably represented in Europe, the United States, and Dubai. Her poetic universe appeals to collectors interested in ceramics and bronze, particularly in the world of architecture and design. Jurga sculpts simplicity, emotion, and the relationships between people. The forms are soft, often generous, and the patinas delicate. There is always great accuracy in the gaze or posture of her figures. She models her clays, which then become bronzes thanks to the remarkable work of her foundry. Each bronze is produced in an edition of 8 copies + 4 artist's proofs.
