Who is Juliette?

Juliette

In February 1994, I created the Galerie de l'Ecusson

I wanted it to be both dynamic and welcoming, in the magnificent heart of the historic center of Montpellier in Occitanie. With a resolutely eclectic approach, I have championed both emerging and nationally and internationally renowned artists—always chosen for their talent and sincerity.

During these 25 years , I have been carried by the loyalty of many visitors. Some of the testimonies received during the closing of the Gallery, in April 2019, deeply moved me.

Today, I wanted to continue this work differently: by devoting myself fully to the development of artists, both locally and internationally.

Why this site?

This site aims to be a vibrant place of contemporary artistic expression where painters, sculptors, glassmakers, engravers, etc. meet.

I wish to rediscover — and expand — this pleasure of artistic discoveries, of sharing and exchanging with art lovers.

May this site be alive and interactive thanks to you! May this site be yours.

Why buy a work of art?

You don't buy a work of art. You treat yourself to a work of art.

It's a love at first sight, an intimate act. It's a beauty that we place in our daily lives, but also a gift that we pass on—to our children, grandchildren, or loved ones.

Which work to choose?

The artwork that attracts you already has a place in your home. You visualize it—consciously or not—in your interior.

Often, we start with a painting. Then, as we fall in love with it, the walls fill up... and we discover sculpture. It completes the space, creates balance. It gives a third dimension to emotion.

If you don't want to touch a sculpture, that's not a good sign. A real sculpture, you want to caress it—whether it's made of glass, bronze, or clay.

And sometimes, a painting also calls for touch. I have said: "Close your eyes and caress it," so much did its material awaken a sensuality invisible to the eyes.

A bond above all human

For 25 years at the Gallery, I have always prioritized exchange. More than the act of purchase, it's the shared emotion that counts. Seeing someone fall in love with a work I've chosen myself is deeply gratifying.

There's the gallery owner, the artist, the work... and the person who discovers it. Sometimes, who makes it their own.

I want to extend this connection here. To share my favorites with you. To listen to yours.

This site is an extension of the Gallery

This site reflects you, reflects the Gallery: a place for exchange and sharing. A vibrant place.

Your interior evolves over time . The artwork remains. True to itself. Present.

Don't hesitate to contact me to assist you in choosing a painting or sculpture. This connection between you, the artists... and me, is what gives true meaning to art.

Art, without exchange, is a dead letter for me.
