Annie Puybareau, learn more about the artist

Born in Paris in 1955, Annie Puybareau showed a strong interest in drawing at a very early age. At the age of 20, she joined the Beaux-Arts de Rouen where she studied under Robert Savary, winner of the Grand Prix de Rome. She then met Albert Malet, with whom she refined her approach by working directly on the motif. A member of the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris, she exhibits regularly in France and abroad, and has received numerous awards throughout her career. Her fluid and luminous touch reveals a great mastery of drawing and color. She approaches landscapes, still lifes, and human figures with equal ease, subtly playing with shadows and light. Each canvas expresses her sensitivity, her passion, and this rare ability to delicately bring reality to life.
