Didier Caudron

Didier Caudron, learn more about the artist

Didier Caudron, born in 1947, has painted every day for over forty years. Self-taught, he passionately combines his two vocations: art and medicine. More than 2,800 paintings have been created in his studio. He works in oil with a knife, in thick layers, with an almost geological approach. Between figuration and abstraction, his works invite discovery: landscapes seen from the sky, vibrations of light, shadows, and reflections. His lively and dynamic painting opens a sensory space where everyone projects their imagination. Present in galleries since 1992, he is praised for his rigor, his chromatic audacity, and his ability to reveal the essential. A constructed, free, and jubilant body of work—at the crossroads of matter and emotion.
