A word from Juliette about the artist ...
"Painting as an aptitude for well-being"
There is an invisible red thread in the choice of my artists "always favorite" which makes that the work of each hung one next to the other, the eye moves without ever being struck!
It was her husband who entered the gallery on a beautiful summer day to tell me about Anne Gaëlle's work, above all to convince me to come and meet her in her workshop.
The work of this artist who does not hide her admiration for Nicolas de Staël interested me and I wanted to know more "in situ". An appointment was made.
Very friendly welcome and way to the workshop where I discovered his abstract work and more particularly his maritime abstractions influenced by his life in the south of France. What touches me is the light, the strength and the softness in the suggestions of these "open" spaces where we breathe and which I love; she knows how to create the soul of a place she loves and gives it to us.
If Nicolas de Staël is her reference, she knew how to break away from it to find her own inspiration!
